Material Handling Equipment
Material Handling Equipment is a fairly universal term. Our Drop Bottom Bins are offered in several sizes ranging from 0.4 Yards to 2.6 Yards. The com in solid sides like Bulk Storage Bins, or they can be wire mesh containers which is useful for products that need air flow. In construction, they would be used for waste, or as a storage container for items you’d be using. Say it’s cones for traffic control. You put these on castors and push them to where you are working and now it’s a heavy duty cart. The next day you might be throwing trash at them. The steel construction will make that a viable use as they are very durable bulk tubs.
Crane Rated
As a Crane Rated Bin, These are rated at 2200 lbs in the smaller sizes, and 4400 lbs as a 2.6 yard capacity version. We build them to the ASME B30.20 standards and then load test them to the German standard of 300%. You just hook in and go with these bins. They will keep you safe and productive. You can ditch the slings and save $25 per lift cycle just in getting rid of the slings. This is an important point. When you look at lower cost bins that require slings, your crane operations cost $8 per minute this year. If you buy a bin that should last 20 years, every time you just hook in versus putting on slings, you save around $25. Crane Rated isn’t just about safety. T
Forklifts and Industry
We have a large variety of Drop Bottom Bins at Eichinger. The forks of your forklift will go in the fork loops of our equipment when this is on the ground. You carry it to a dumpster and hang it over the dumpster with the forklift When you pull the cable, the lever will release the floor of the box so the hinged floor opening on the equipment and the contents will go into the dumpster. The weight rating is the same as it is with the cranes. The cubed structure is very robust and is designed for a long service life. If you need custom sizes or other designs for your industry, Check out the catalogs (Forklift catalog link). We also have another website called Forkliftgear.net that has some products as well. we can do these with 2 or 3 compartments as well so you can quickly distribute products from the storage bin with a hinged door that becomes the drop bottom feature.
