US Tariffs for US Buyers-
The current tariff we face is 50% on our imports under the 232 Tariff from the Trump Administration. We don’t know how much longer this will carry on. For many of our products, we may have to requote. We’ll look at the price point and be as fair as we can in every case. The reality is that we can’t update all of our prices as regularly as the Federal Government changes it’s mind. We are seeking solutions for items such as “substantial alterations” when items ship in. In other cases we end up being not competitive, and we’ll openly state it when that’s the case.
We would prefer to deliver a great value every time. We would simply need free market capitalism to return the US for this to be the case. We would like to note that competitors in the US manufacturing base have failed due to these tariffs as they have lost access to the Canadian market and their steel prices have increased by 30%.
