Self-Consolidating Concrete Bucket Solutions
Self Consolidating Concrete Buckets pose a newer problem in concrete delivery. The more common bucket designs are meant to deliver thick Low Slump concrete quickly. These gates are larger and often have two gate structures coming together to make the gate action fast and voluminous. When it comes to Grout-Tight Gate needs, these are the wrong solutions. But we have the right solution.

Grout-Tight Gates
The Grout-Tight Gate on the 1035 is superior to the double clamshell design in leak prevention. Additionally, the design comes with a tremie hose. If you are pouring high slump concrete, you can hang up the hose as well which becomes a secondar seal. The concrete is simply not going to have the hydraulic means to push up the hose if it’s hanging up. This secondary means ensures that the rubber hose that is clamped on to the hopper will make sure that no leaks are escaping containment.
Example of the Tremie being hung up and how it prevents leaks from escaping.
Dual Handling Concrete Buckets for Self Consolidating Concrete
Our Square and some of our round concrete buckets for cranes come with a square base like you see in the photo above. With all of these buckets, we can add fork pockets at the base, which will make them Dual Handling Concrete Buckets. This allows you to work with a forklift or a crane. If you benefit from having a forklift prep the bucket for a crane pour, you have the option. If you are in Precast Concrete and benefit from choosing your delivery method, our dual handling option can give you choices. On many of these designs, we can change the orientation of the fork pockets by 90 degrees to put the lever on the side you would prefer. Just bring up the topic at the order and we can show you the common orientation so you can work through the right orientation for your operations.

Concrete Pouring Options
Concrete Pouring Options on our square buckets come in a variety of options. Most are set up automatically with a tremie hose and a gate/hopper. That gate and hopper can be set up in three sizes. 6”, 8”, and 12” (technically metric and these are rounded numbers). Many of the bases of the standing buckets can also be set up with a chute that would be reversible so you can control the placement of the handle or geared gate as well. You won’t find more versatility from any other manufacturer than you find at CraneGear.
Easy Gate Maintenance
The Gate Maintenance with our Model 1035 Concrete Bucket for Self Consolidating Concrete is easy to manage. If you find that the gate is getting dirty and needs more attentive cleaning, you can unbolt it and get more access to clean it thoroughly. This also allow for easy replacement of the gate if the work to clean it up would consume excessive time. When you order a bucket, we can get a spare gate included. Then you have it on the shelf ready to go.
The Hoppers are also easily removed for access with a pin system that couldn’t be easier.
Remote Controlled Hydraulic Power Unit
We can supply a Remote Controlled Hydraulic Power Unit for these Concrete Buckets for Self Consolidating Concrete. The system is powered by a 12V battery. The ram is hydraulic and operated by a wireless remote. This will enable operation from the safest location available and allow for clear visibility. If the usage were so great that you managed to run out of batter, you would have the option to recharge, change the battery, or manually function the gate. You don’t lose options if you chose a remote controlled gate.
