Block Clamps - Ecology Blocks

Our Automated Block Clamps makes lifting ecology blocks easy with the benefits of security. Commonly people are lifting these ecology blocks by the eyes on them. Either of rebar that corrodes, or cables buried in concrete. In either case, they are designed to be lifted just three times by these eyes. When they leave the truck that brings them from the fabricator, that’s the third and final time. Our lifting clamps are a legal way to lift them after they get to the site.

Designed for Safety

The lifting clamp is rated at 5500 lbs and designed under ASME B30.20 Below the Hook. It has the appropriate safety factor built in. The automation cam built it makes it so that when you hoist down and it’s locked, it will release the latch and scissor out to clamp the next time it’s lifted. If the action is not what you want, hoist down again and the cam will move again which will keep it from folding when lifted. The jaw depth on the 1567 is just under 8 inches. This gives it a nice bite with it’s nearly 2’ of non-marking white rubber clamping surface. This is plenty to achieve the 3:1 safety factor required by ASME B30.20. Our lifting clamps product line is deep if you had other needs as well.

Ecology Block Lifting is Easy

This is one of those right tools for the job items. We should have had these 20 years ago. Make life easy and safe with the Model 1567 Ecology Block Clamp. When you are building retaining walls and your option is to use rigging, or a excavator thumb, you have the challenges of a human getting near a lifted item you are about to lift in a way not prescribed, or you’ll scratch it with a thumb. Our clamp eliminates the risk to the rigger and the company while protecting the finished product.

Efficiency in Lifting Blocks

Aside from the safety concerns of lifting materials in a secure way, our clamps are designed with features and benefits to make it easy to handle concrete blocks. When you send the blocks to their delivery location, your operator can release the load automatically when it places the blocks and the load is released from the clamp. Each unit is perfect to work with ecology blocks. The alternative in lifting via the eyes repeatedly is dangerous. You’ll have no warning when it will fail which is why many manufacturers suggest to not lift Ecology Blocks more than 3 times. These clamps are suitable to lift the load of Ecology Blocks as many times as you need. And the time saved versus using slings and transferring will pay you back at hundreds of dollars per hour when you consider it’s working with a equipment, an operator, and a rigger. When all of that equipment is working for you in materials handling, it’s important to ensure it’s efficient for the best ROI. We do just that with Eichinger Lifting Clamps.

Shipping is Included

These ship best via air freight. Shipping, tariff, and customs via ocean are already included in the pricing! Plan for 16-17 by air. We’ll do this as a door to door delivery and all you need to do is unload it. And if you need other lifting clamps, we are at the ready.
