Crane Pallet Forks — Crane Gear

Crane Pallet Forks are great for handling palletized loads. You can lift heavy loads with them. Up to 6600 lbs in our case. The high strength steel lets you slide the steel tines into pallets. When you are lifting the pallet you now have structural steel rated according to ASME B30.20 carrying the weight and providing everyone with safety.

Eichinger 1054 Self Leveling Crane Forks

Our Self Leveling Crane Forks are rated at 2200, 3300 , 4400, and 6600 lbs. Our tubes are sourced out of Italy to be seamless on the inside. The fork tines to the 4400 lb model are made of tubes that keep them light and easy to adjust. At 6600 lbs the forks are solid and milled into shape. We also provide a chain to secure the loads back to the mast for safety.

Introduction

Crane fork attachments are specialized equipment designed to work with cranes to lift and transport palletized loads. These attachments provide precision lifting equipment for tasks that typically require a forklift, offering a versatile and efficient way to handle various loads. In this article, we will explore the key features, benefits, and typical applications of crane fork attachments, as well as provide an overview of their introduction and conclusion.

What Is a Crane Fork Attachment?

A crane fork attachment, also known as a crane pallet fork, is a lifting accessory that attaches to a crane. It consists of two fork tines, similar to those found on a forklift, mounted on a robust frame. The attachment is designed to be suspended from a crane’s hook, allowing it to lift pallets, crates, or other materials easily. Crane fork attachments are used to handle a variety of loads, including pallets, crates, and other materials, and are a versatile solution for lifting and transporting loads.

Key Features and Benefits of Crane Forks

Crane forks, also known as Pallet Forks, are designed to provide safety when lifting pallets with a crane. They feature adjustable height that will clear 5'-9" on the inside. Ours have adjustable tines easily slide side to side to accommodate loads. A trolley on the crane forks find the center of gravity with each load. Pallet forks can handle both palletized loads or bins that have a center of gravity no further than 20 inches from the mast. The Crane Forks match most of the standard pallet dimensions. Pallet forks are essential for efficient handling, adjustable height, and a mechanical center of gravity compensation system. They are required to be used by OSHA 1926.251. You cannot use slings to lift loads on pallets. You need the fork tines in the pallet to provide a structural lifter with a 3:1 safety factor. Nails in wood do not provide any crane rating.

Typical Applications of Crane Fork Attachments

Crane fork attachments are used in a variety of industries, including construction, logistics, shipping, and agriculture. They are a valuable addition to any lifting operation, providing a safe and efficient solution for lifting and transporting loads. Crane fork attachments are used to handle various loads, from standard pallets to loose materials like bricks, blocks, or timber. They are also used to lift and transport building materials, such as concrete blocks, and are a useful alternative to forklifts in certain situations like when you are looking to lift pallets with cranes.

The Full Range of Self Shifting Models

The Full Range of Self shifting or self balancing models is limited to about 20% of the full SWL rating of the forks to the SWL. When they are equipped with springs that adjust as the weight is lifted off of the ground, they can find a suitable center of gravity to lend safety to everyone nearby. The tipping action of the forks should be towards the mast to keep the pallet on the tines at all times. The internal trolley will roll and adjust to the center of gravity as the crane hoists. These are well adapted and you can adjust the tine widths for different pallets easily.
