Crane Mortar Tub Model 1226 Crane Rated
Crane Mortar Tub
Mortar tubs commonly don’t have way to lift them with a crane. Some are sold as a plastic version which we also manufacture. ASME in the US requires that we use steel for structural lifters. That is exactly what we are offering here. ASME B30.20 of 2025 has also adopted “Lifting Containers” which further reinforces the need for a rating on the mortar bins.
Easy Safety Compliance
We included two lifting points that on ours gives you a rating of 550 to 1100 lbs depending on the model chosen. The practice of putting slings around bins is not a legal way to lift. If the bin isn’t rated to be lifted that way, you are violating what that manufacturer planned and you have no knowledge of it’s capacity to be lifted in the manner you are lifting. It’s a matter of time until you have a failure, or a safety inspector notices it. Get ahead of the problem and get our bins that are rated for cranes, and safe to use with forklifts.
Choices in Sizes
We have three sizes to choose from.
8.8 cubic feet LxWxH 45×24×21 inches
11.7 cubic feet 45×27×24
17.6 cubic feet 45×37×26
If you are buying in volume, we can quote the shipping and a different price with a substantial savings as they ship more efficiently as a group or stack. Reach out at sales@cranegear.net to get that worked out. To give you an idea of the difference in price, our retail on the 8.8 cubic foot version is $477.40 as the “Ex Works” price. It’s the shipping of a single bin from Germany that gets expensive. If we ship several, the pricing can get to reasonable numbers.
